This all-day networking event combines social media &
technology, along with passionate employment experts and diverse local
employers to create a truly empowering conference for career seekers.
Attendees will be provided lunch, as well as learning sessions, panel
discussions, and a unique opportunity to network with other
professionals. In addition, the first 250 registrants will receive a
Poken (a social business card) which will allow attendees to share
contact information digitally. A happy hour is being held in the onsite
Network Lounge, directly after the event.
We have several
strategic learning sessions going on throughout the day, covering
multiple topics, including “Networking in Real Life,” “Career
Exploration,” and “Outside Your Comfort Zone.” Our Q & A oriented
panel discussions will cover topics related to Healthcare, Green
Energy, Government, and Technology career paths.

In this single two-hour session, you will experience a hands-on perspective of how we present instruction to increase learning and productivity. St. Edward's understands that adults learn by doing and asking questions. Therefore, the St. Edward's curriculum and programs are engineered to accelerate learning and comprehension of the subject. Our classes incorporate team projects, demonstrations, examples, cases, and hands-on activities.

This 40 hour course is taught by volunteer members of the Austin PMI Chapter and meets the 35 hour requirement for PMP® certification. One strength this program offers is a variety of instructors with a diversity of backgrounds and industries, providing a variety of test-taking hints and views on project management. If you are a member of Project Management International (PMI), the professional organization for project managers, the cost of the course is $795. If you are not a member of PMI, in addition to the $795 base cost, please bring a check for $150 made out to Austin PMI on the first day of class. If you later join PMI and within the first two weeks of class forward to Paul Spockemail confirmation from the national Project Management Institute that you have joined, your check will be returned to you. Otherwise, after two weeks your check to Austin PMI will be deposited. Note: Joining PMI including one year's membership is $129. ***
Experience requirement for holders of a bachelor's degree: Minimum of three years (36 months) unique non-overlapping professional project management experience, during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks.
Experience requirements for holders of a high school degree or equivalent: Minimum of five years (60 months) unique non-overlapping professional project management experience, during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks.
