Career Management Certification System
In partnership with the National Society of Career Management, St. Edward's University is offering the Career Management Certification System (CMCS), a comprehensive training program that prepares you for the Professional in Career Management (PCM®) certification examination. The CMCS provides a structured approach to facilitate career decision making and planning with individuals and groups dealing with 21st century issues such as advancement, career change, retirement, workforce reentry, work-life balance, diversity, and lifelong learning.
The system is comprised of nine modules that prepare you with the knowledge, skills, and systematic framework to deliver career services in a variety of settings: community-based agencies, schools (K–12), colleges and universities, private practice, business, and government.

Who Should Take This Course
Career counselors, workforce development specialists, and consultants in a variety of settings: community-based agencies, schools, colleges and universities, private practice, business, and government.

You will:
- Develop winning strategies tailored to various career transition paths
- Use the Career Development Model®, a structured approach to facilitate change
- Select, administer, integrate, and interpret assessments to unique career profiles
- Identify, organize, and synthesize resources to assist people in career decision making
- Develop, plan, and evaluate programs that address individual and group career goals
- Implement job search and branding strategies to secure, create, and maintain work
- Learn how to use technology in the remote career coaching and counseling process
- Understand how ethics and best practices lead to long-term success.

and is 60 hours of instructions: 10 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 to 9 p.m.
